This year one of our curriculum goals is to analyze and evaluate English speaking medias, and their role in the international society. One important part of the media is advertising and it seems appropriate to evaluate and comment on the media attention the Super Bowl gets every year in February. Not only in the USA but also in the rest of the world. Even Norwegian television airs the event at night!
Activity in class
- Watch the Super Bowl 2011 ads in groups of 3 or 4
- Based on these critiera choose the 2 best and the 2 worst ads
- Write on you blog about the Super Bowl commercials, why they are important, and the media’s role.
