I was recently made aware of this project by Linda Flannelly, the assistant principal at Lindenhurst High School in NY. She asked me if I would be interested in collaborating with her school since they have set aside a whole week to work on this project. We decided to arrange a Skype meeting with our students on the 16th of March. Since the time difference between NY and Norway is 6 hours we will have to arrange a meeting 7:30 – 8:00 NY time. To be prepared, the Norwegian students will have to work on this topic the week before to be able to write about the topic on their blogs. Hopefully, the American students will write comments on the blogs the following week and these comments will be a starting point for our conversations on the 16th. - Choose 4 of the goals you find important and tweet their message using our hashtag #1stc and #Globalgoals
- Share a selfie to tell everyone about the #globalgoals and show which goal you care most about, see this web page
- Based on your research about Global Goals, write a script about what you have learned and what actions you think are important. You can choose to write a speech where you list the important facts or you could write a script where your group has a conversation about the topic. Be sure to ask some questions to your audience.
- Post the video on your blog.
- Watch 2 or 3 of your classmates videos and write comments on their blog post. Try to ask the difficult questions!
