What’s the other story?
They keynote on day 2 with Michael Furdyk was great! His TakingITGlobal, which is also known as TIG, is a charitable non-governmental organization focusing on global issues by promoting awareness and engagement among global youth. I’m hoping he will be able to visit us in Norway. It would be great to get more schools and students in Europe involved. TIG’s stated mission is to “provide opportunities for learning, capacity-building, cross-cultural awareness, and self-development through the use of Information and Communication Technologies. Take time to watch the video below!
The flat talks by Anne Mirtschin, Kristina Stoney, Chris Betcher were all inspiring. They had great stories to contribute to the conference theme; what’s the other story. Suggest you look at their websites!
Teacher and students videos
But by far I’m mostly impressed with what all the students and teachers came up with during those 2 1/2 days! Wow, very creative. Let’s hope they continue working like this when they get back to school and that their ideas will live on and spread! Take a look at the two videos I have chosen from this confernece. Got to love those kids in the passion project! Their mission statement is: Let’s free education and stop exams limiting our future. I’m all for that!
