Teaching about pros and cons of controversial issues

Classroom application:

When you introduce new topics in class either for writing or discussion it is useful to see both sides of the story.  ProCon takes controversial current topics, posts a “core question” about the topic, provides an overview of the topic, and provides background information on the controversial topic. Then ProCon presents short articles and news quotes from both sides of the “core question.” (source Free technology for teachers)

  4. Have your students either write a paper about the topic or type the discussion for you to listen to by using this program. Speaker online.
